Paint the Town Red  is a wonderful celebration which has grown to be the best Canada Day party in town & one of the most anticipated events in our community.  The Port Credit community is gearing up for an even bigger parade this Monday, July 1st  in celebration of  its 10th anniversary. Port Credit residents and everyone from all over Mississauga will fill the streets waiting  for the parade to roll in which will start at  11AM. The parade will feature old classic cars, and symbolic Canada Day floats. Walking the streets will be clowns, and hundreds of parade participants dressed in festive attire, waving their Canadian flags with pride. There will be a giant shopping cart in the parade, so let’s bring some non-perishable food donations to help fill the giant shopping cart for the food drive.

There will be a cake cutting ceremony with  a 9 x 17 celebratory Canada Day cake which will be cut by Mississauga South MP Stella Ambler, MPP Charles Sousa, and Mayor Hazel McCallion.

The fun continues into the night, with music and dancing in Memorial Park. The most popular & most anticipated event is the  firework’s display that will surely take your breath away. The fireworks begin at 10:15 p.m. in Port Credit Memorial Park. Tom Barlow will take the stage during the fireworks show for a memorable musical performance. This breath-taking fireworks show is not to be missed!

Come out to Port Credit’s Paint the Town Red Canada Day event for a full day of spectacular entertainment. Let us fill the streets with joy and laughter as we celebrate & enjoy free live entertainment, bands on the street, fun activities, a festive parade, special ceremonies and a fireworks finale.  It’s the perfect way to show  and celebrate our heritage & national pride!
